Great Bear Access Road Meeting
The Great Falls Development Authority has commissioned a study that focuses on providing highway transportation to planned and potential industrial park areas in the vicinity of the Malt Plant, located in northeast Great Falls. Detailed reviews of design standards, possible alternatives and potential solutions will be presented at a public meeting on Wednesday, April 8, 2009.
The intent of the meeting is to obtain public input. Three main alternative connection points to US 87 are being considered. These included an improved intersection at Black Eagle Road and US 87, the extension of 33rd Avenue NE from US 87 to Black Eagle Road, and finally a connection from the nearly designed Malt Plant Turn Lanes intersection. Numerous variations of each of these alternatives have been considered.
